1-800-PACK-RAT is a national moving and storage company that uses a multi-tenant Sitecore instance to run several different moving websites. These sites share components and functionality, so changes in one place can affect multiple brands. While their main development team was busy rebuilding everything on a new headless architecture, they needed extra help keeping the existing setup running smoothly. I joined as staff augmentation, handling Sitecore support so their core team could stay focused on the migration.
My work covered a mix of fixes, enhancements, and Sitecore-specific tasks. I helped build a new quote module support feature, tested and verified personalization rules across the different tenant sites, and supported content migration into the new experience. I also helped troubleshoot analytics and Sitecore marketing features, making sure the shared components behaved correctly across all the moving websites.
With this support in place, the internal team was better positioned to concentrate on the new build instead of being pulled back into production issues. Feature requests kept moving, shared components stayed stable, and marketing could continue to run campaigns and updates while the headless work moved forward.
This relationship has continued over more than two years, with ongoing help provided as needed when new requests or questions come up. If your team is working through a Sitecore upgrade, headless migration, or multi-site setup and needs extra hands, check out our Sitecore development and support services.
