FNREL (The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law) is a small, education-focused nonprofit based in Westminster, Colorado. They run conferences, manage memberships, and share resources for professionals working in natural resources and energy law. Their website is built on Sitecore and is a key tool for events, membership, and day-to-day communication.
Before working together, FNREL was with a large Sitecore vendor. They often felt like a small client on a very big roster. Simple maintenance requests were slow and expensive because of heavy internal processes on the vendor side. They needed a partner who could move faster, know their site well, and handle work on an ad-hoc basis without layers of management.
Stepping in as their primary Sitecore developer, I focused first on stabilizing and maintaining what they already had. From there, we’ve continued to improve key parts of the site: integrating with their CRM, supporting conference registration workflows, helping with membership management, SEO updates, and ongoing e-commerce support for things like event fees or publications. The goal has been to keep their Sitecore platform reliable while making small, meaningful improvements that help their staff work more easily.
This is an ongoing relationship, not a one-off build. FNREL has a Sitecore developer they can email when they need something fixed or added, without starting a big new project each time. If you’re a smaller organization on Sitecore and need this kind of focused, flexible support, take a look at our Sitecore maintenance and support services to see how we can help.
