Bison Innovative Products, distributed by DAP Global Inc., builds the Level.Up system—pedestals, pavers, and site furnishings used to create rooftop decks and elevated outdoor spaces. Their products serve both commercial teams (architects, engineers, installers) and residential DIYers and contractors. After parting ways with their original development agency, Bison needed a trusted Umbraco partner who could step into an existing codebase, keep things stable, and support ongoing marketing needs.
Working as the head Umbraco developer through their marketing agency, I first focused on understanding the existing site structure and how the Level.Up product group was being presented. From there, I designed and built new components in Umbraco, including a flexible video gallery to showcase installation techniques and product use in real-world projects. I also added support for new products and updated the categorization logic so content could be filtered and grouped in a way that made sense to both commercial specifiers and residential customers.
These updates gave the marketing team more control over how they tell the Level.Up story without needing a developer for every change. They can now highlight new products, organize content by use case or audience, and use video to explain how the adjustable pedestal system works in a clear and visual way. The relationship continues as ongoing development support, with the agency managing day-to-day strategy and project coordination while I handle the technical implementation.
